Alexander Gelman
In 2001 The Museum of Modern Art listed Alexander Gelman as
one of the "world's most famous modern and contemporary artists
in all media."

Gelman facts:
President and a founding partner of Design Machine, a leading brand consultancy based in New York.

President of the U.S. chapter of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and member of its International Executive Committee.

Design Fellow, 2003-04 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Media Laboratory (Cambridge, MA).

Served as a board member at the Design Advisory Committee of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, and on the Executive Board of The Art Directors Club, New York.

Taught visual communication and design at Parsons, School of Visual Arts, The Cooper Union School of Art, and Yale University.

Work is part of the permanent collections in the U. S. and abroad including The Museum of Modern Art in New York and Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

Recipient of awards from the New York Art Directors Club, Communication Arts, American Institute of Graphic Arts, American Center for Design, British Design & Art Direction, ID Annual Design Review, and numerous international biennials.

Nominee for the 2000 Chrysler Design Award and one of the five finalists for The First National Design Award.

Featured in art, design, advertising and fashion publications in the US, Japan, Korea, China, Germany, France, Italy, UK, Russia, Turkey and the Netherlands.
